Prawning Is Not A Word

Simon is being judgemental
I caught them all HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I DID I DID I DID
Preparing for work in Shanghai

I've been bugging Simon to go prawn fishing with Simon's girlfriend and guess what that jerk did? He went with his cousin instead. FUCKER MUCH YOU MOTHAFUCKER!!!! But he made it up by going with me again. We went to Haibin at Puggol which happened to be really near his place and really far from mine. (Insert female stupidity here)

Less than 10 minutes since we plopped our first rod in, Simon got a prawn. Why'd you have to show off our pro-ness so soon Simon? Right after him, I landed a prawn myself. My ego hit jackpot when a cute teenager mustered up the courage to ask me, "How did you catch that? I have't caught anything for 2 hours." I pulled the humble-pie out from my inner platinum and gold-plated oven and gave a google worthy answer because being snobby is no good.

I'm really proud of Simon for being the manly man and unhooking every single prawn while I showed off my rare kitchen skills. I skewered every single prawn by watching them struggle helplessly in my hands before I poke a stick through their body and brains and then gleefully leaving them squirming in pain on the fire pit. We then proceeded to watching them barbecue alive, after which I fed Simon and sucked the brains out of them dead prawnies.

Enjoy every fucking little things in life. Suck them brains out.

We Shell Shellfish In A Selfie

Peppers Resort in Christchurch, New Zealand

The reasoning behind the title of this post

What do you do when you're stuck in a resort that only allows you 3 hours in a shopping mall? You buy lamp chops (typo intended) , shell fishes, 2 different kinds of pasta sauce, beef steaks, lots of other rubbish and make a beautiful dinner. Nobody told us that the crew lounge had salt, so I spent NZ$2 on fucking sea salt so that our dinner could taste awesome.

I could have totally went horse riding, cycling, walking along the river or a bunch of other nice stuff. But guess what? I was too cold and too lazy. My off days in Christchurch consisted of lazing at the balcony, smoking duty free cigarettes and watching ducks quacking at birds and birds pretending to sound cute (chirpchirpmyass) and swans giving zero fucks. Of course I also contemplated the meaning of life, but that only took 2 seconds.

On a much more productive side, here's a brief introduction of me in 20 facts.

Click on that if you give a shit about me.

The World Is My Oyster

Moscow, All-Russian Exhibition Center

Selfies in Russia

London in 5 pictures
Because not being retarded is not living life.

Yes, I do feel very fortunate to be travelling around the world. There's nothing that can compare to being paid to go to new places and see new things. Exposed to new cultures and doing what others dream of doing at such a young age. Yet, there's also nothing quite like the feeling of utter loneliness in a foreign country, discovering strange things with strangers.

The world is certainly my oyster. In just one short month, I've been to more countries than I've ever dreamt possible. But going to a new country is one thing, and exploring it is another. One day, I will really travel the world and immerse myself in it. Flying to a new country isn't travelling; taking a backpack and driving from one end of the earth to another is. One day, the world won't just be my oyster, it'll be my home.

Maldives, Kurumba

Maldives was just gorgeous. I stayed in Kurumba resort and I must say the place is absolutely stunning. After we checked into our rooms, the crew met up at the beach side bar and we spent the whole night chatting and drinking. We migrated from the bar to the karaoke room with a crappy DJ but we were in a jolly mood and so we head-banged our night away to horrible beats and Russian music.

I didn't get to snorkel because my body clock was completely distorted. The next time I go to Maldives, I'm totally bring a Go Pro and I'm gonna snorkel my ass away. (I better have abs the next time too)

Return from MIA

I don't know who still reads this but if you're reading this, then YEAH YOU'RE AWESOME. I've completely neglected this blog because I forgot it existed. Then again, everybody who's had a blog probably forgot theirs when they stop blogging eh?

So I am currently working as a flight attendant. I went for the interview in the middle of my exams because my dad became unemployed last year and couldn't sustain my education any further. It is till date the best decision I have ever made; the choice to become independent overnight and buck up my game. I still feel very fortunate to have been chosen amongst thousands of people and I am very lucky to have been accepted in my first interview.

Now, I've shouldered my way through rigorous training and am currently flying. Most people think that a career in the service industry of aviation is full of glam and grandeur, but many people also know that there's more to the job then the hype media gives it. I'm telling you now, not only is this job not glamorous, it is TOUGH. There's a saying that goes, "If you can survive cabin crew, you can survive anything."

I think I might want to continue blogging now, since I'll be travelling for a living. I'm saving for a camera then I'll start vlogging and also some photography. Hopefully I can keep this up and everything will go smoothly!

Auckland. Just landed and going for supper with the crew,

To Do List or To Be Done List

Today, my boyfriend and I had a very frank assessment of life and the conclusion is: I AM WASTING MY LIFE AWAY. Now, my excuse for this is a serious lack of motivation and completely no drive at all. I mean, every one has these episodes of being so jaded and not wanting to do anything, feeling like you're drifting away in space. I on the other hand, have complete seasons of tofu moments where I literally live in my bed and waste my life away. It's not as bad as I make it sound like, but it's pretty accurate(Kinda)! Now, when you have a boyfriend like mine, having anything less than exciting and fulfilling life is frowned upon, however extreme that may be.

Therefore, here is my To Do List or To Be Done List.  (Because people usually ignore to do lists...)

THIS WEEK

  1. Drink 3 bottles of water every day
  2. Do my own manicure
  3. Learn 10 French words
  4. Write a complete article
  5. Be a tour guide to my UK friend
  6. Draw funny faces on all the eggs in my fridge

Now, these may seem very little, but it's small steps that counts! My bucket list is still being built up and you can see them here and here. If your life is boring, try making lists. If not, go draw funny faces on all the eggs in your fridge.

Why do people seek casual sex? Is it always about love?

[Here's a little something I wrote...]

Firstly, it must be made clear that sex is not love, nor is love given through sex. However, it is not a common knowledge to all and hence may be the reason to the pandemic of casual sex. It is common sense to link sex to intimacy as it is an act that is frequently performed with as much fervor as gentleness. Yet many cannot establish the connection between Love and Sex. Therefore in the attempt to seek one, one performs the other without so much a thought as to the complications that comes with it.

Many people have casual sex for many reasons. For some, it is to quench the deep loneliness they are living with. To them, sex is like honey to bitter tea, and the only way to stave off the bitterness is to add more honey. To some others, it is a quest to find true love, a quest in which they have decided that they will succeed in finding what they want if they do it enough. Some people have even less regard for the delicacy in sex, in which they seek casual sex just because they can and no reason else. There are many more reasons be they queer or common, but as to each their own, so are the reasons unique to themselves. Hence, it cannot be always about love if the reasons for casual sex are so abundantly scattered.

However,  we may link casual sex to seeking intimacy as it is generally the case in most scenarios. Sex can give a psychical closeness to a person such as no other acts can. It heightens the human senses and releases endorphins that makes a person feel wonderfully blissful and contented. This may be why people seek casual sex out frequently: To feel the powerful effects sex gives them, be it feelings of triumph, love and the likes. Hence, many go at it with such enthusiasm that it almost seems like a drug to them, that they must have sex over and over to achieve such intimacy. Yet, these people are searching for something that sex itself may not be able to give them. It may be argued that these people are merely searching for love in the acts of intimacy, but that does not explain the reasons of people who have sex merely because they can. I suspect many people go after sex as if they are going after love itself, but in the pursuit of one, people have come to lose the importance of the other and perhaps the connection between them. Sex is not Love, nor is Love given through sex. They are as mutually inclusive as they are exclusive. Some find that they can continue to love without having such acts of intimacy and some find that they cannot love even with all the sexual satisfaction in the world. It is because of the little understanding of this phenomena that people go about having casual sex. It is not because it is wrong or right, nor is it entirely about love. It is somewhat a combination of both and the desire to seek out something that they don’t truly understand and try to grasp it in those few moments of physical bliss.
