Oh the horror of exams and the stress that comes with it; these few days have not been kind to my face at all. Unfortunately, I haven't had any chance to dress up, being confined in my room to study and all. Hence I decided to cheer myself up by coming up with a fairly simple outfit that I would wear if I were to say, grab a drink from Starbucks, or go to the park for a walk.

I really like this outfit and I really want to take a walk now!

Went to Starbucks to study with my best friend Rachael throughout the afternoon into the evening. I've never tried the Mango and Passionfruit smoothie and decided to make it my first debut today. Although it tasted strange in the beginning, I think it's a drink that grows on you. 

Loved it!

Airport and Resident Evil 5

Sent my Dad off to the airport today while my Mom's still in China; my parents are always overseas.

 Dad came back for 5 days to run errands, so I didn't have a chance to spend time with him. I consider myself very fortunate that he whipped up his special fish dish for lunch before we had to leave for the airport. He's the best cook in the world!

I'm going to miss him a lot. 

Oh by the way, Resident Evil delivered excellent stunt sequence as expected and I love how Alice is fighting for her life in 6 inches and eyeshadow. I thought the acting wasn't very stellar though. In fact, the movie got me grumbling about how bad the acting was.
Don't even mention the storyline.
It's really disappointing, because Resident Evil has been my favourite series for a long time. I hope things will get better!

 My favourite part were the Nazi Zombies. Absolutely brilliant!

Went to the library to study this morning because home has become increasing unconducive. Since all the tables were occupied in the afternoon, Seraph and I ventured into the Children's library after lunch to hunt for a place to start work. We managed to find a toddler's desk and clocked in an hour worth of math before being chased out unceremoniously.

Seraph (178cm) grumbles, "Do we look old to you?!"

Hah, what a laugh!

Spent the evening catching up with Ginny whom I haven't seen for ages! Had a great albeit short karaoke session. There's something very riveting about meeting an old friend. It's like pulling out an old photo album and feeling all nostalgic again.

I came across quite a few gorgeous pictures of people flaunting their clutches ever so fashionably during London Fashion Week and now I'm just bursting with envy! Since I can't be in London, I settled to wistfully creating my own set. When I think head-turning, I think of stunning and gorgeous flowing white. This is my favourite set so far! *dreams on frolicking among the clouds*

Celebrating Alexander The Great

Had to rush for costume fitting at Universal Studios today and had no time to even slab on some mascara. Wore my Alexander Day mini dress out because it's comfortable and easy to pull off. Pretty is happy, hah! 

Too bad the email for costume fitting insisted on "covered shoes". Took my black boots out for a spin since heels are technically not allowed. 

Practical just spoils all the fun.

Fashion-cism

Couldn't resist!

I know I'm a little late but I just checked out Prada's Fall/Winter Menswear Show and I am totally blown away.

BLOWN.

There's just something really attractive about military styled suits paired with military styled accessories modeled by actors especially Adrien Brody and Gary Oldman. 

You heard me. 

Also, the fact that Adrien Brody starred in "The Pianist" just makes this collection so much more meaningful. 

It's "World War II meets 21st Century Fashion" people.

McQ 2012

McQueen's more affordable clothing line just opened it's doors on the 14th September! I took a look at the Spring/Summer 2012's collection for Women and boy do I love it! 

Here are my favorites from the S/S Women's collection:

I'm so in love with the red pant-suit and the full skirt! Imagine strutting downtown in that strong accented red. SNAP! Instant confidence. I chose the black dress and the prints because when I looked at them, they gave me goosebumps and a fuzzy feeling. Especially the body con print dress; it's just incredible. If only I can buy them! Sadly, they don't ship to Singapore.
